Following this, on April 21, 2025, he posted a brief but explicit tweet, suggesting a personnel change with the words "Fire him." The tweet included a link, signaling a direct call for action, though the context or intended target within the link remains unspecified.

Gerry Connolly, 73, has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2009, after replacing Tom Davis. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he currently resides in Fairfax and has been a member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors before his congressional role. He graduated from Maryknoll Seminary in 1971 with a BA.
