Representative Gerry Connolly, serving since 2009 as the U.S. Congress member for Virginia's 11th District, recently shared his views and greetings with his audience through several posts on social media. His statements touch on festive greetings, political events, and international concerns.

On April 12, 2025, Connolly extended his wishes for the holiday of Passover, saying "Chag Pesach Sameach to all celebrating Passover!"

Two days later, on April 14, 2025, he expressed his relief regarding the safety of Governor Shapiro, highlighting the condemnation of violence. Connolly stated, "I am so relieved Governor Shapiro and his family are safe. This kind of violence is despicable. It requires condemnation from all of us."

In another tweet on April 14, 2025, Connolly addressed former President Donald Trump, underscoring the obligation to comply with court orders regarding Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He said, "Donald Trump has not only a duty to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, he has every authority and ability to do it right now. Enough of this blatant lawlessness. Obey the courts and return him home today."

Gerry Connolly has been part of the U.S. Congress since 2009, succeeding Tom Davis. Before his congressional tenure, Connolly was a member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors from 2003 to 2009. Connolly, aged 73, was born in Boston, Massachusetts but currently resides in Fairfax. His educational background includes a BA degree from Maryknoll Seminary received in 1971.
