Rep. Connolly, in a tweet, underscored that NATO allies must firmly support Ukraine as they defend their democracy against Russian aggression. He stated, "While Ukrainians fearlessly fight to defend their democracy and people, NATO allies need to stand steadfast in their support to Ukraine and counter Russian aggression." This post reflects the congressman’s stance on the critical need for united support among NATO members.

In another tweet, Rep. Connolly invoked NATO’s Article 5, highlighting its significance by referring to the unity demonstrated after the September 11 attacks. He remarked, "An armed attack against one NATO ally is an attack on all. That was clearly demonstrated when allies invoked Article 5 after the horrific 9/11 terrorist attacks against the U.S." This reinforces the congressman's views on collective defense.

Rep. Connolly also spoke about NATO’s historical commitment since its inception 76 years ago, following World War II. He tweeted, "76 years ago, the founding members of NATO came together in the wreckage of World War II to establish a transatlantic alliance committed to peace, security, and democracy.
