In another tweet on the same day, Connolly questioned the definition of supporting law enforcement. He asked rhetorically, "Remind me, is it considered 'supporting our police' when you pardon the people who beat them with flag poles and fire extinguishers?"
Later that morning, Connolly expressed concerns about former President Donald Trump's policies. In a detailed post, he asserted that Trump was adhering to a specific agenda that he believes negatively impacts various communities and institutions.
