On March 3, 2025, Connolly commented on the recent resignation of the head of the TMF. In another post dated March 3, 2025, Connolly discussed the success of the Technology Modernization Fund, legislation he authored aimed at upgrading federal IT systems and reducing costs. He contrasted its achievements with approaches taken by former President Trump and Elon Musk: "The Technology Modernization Fund...is a success story...it has actually made government more efficient and is projected to save taxpayers more than $1.2 billion."
Furthermore, on March 4, 2025, Connolly declared his decision not to attend Donald Trump’s address to Congress: "I will not attend Donald Trump’s address to Congress."
