Representative Gerry Connolly, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Virginia’s 11th district, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting notable achievements and expressing concerns about certain ongoing efforts. The tweets reflect his engagement with both technological innovation and issues affecting federal workers.

On February 4, 2025, Connolly announced the second-place winner of a competition: "2nd Place: Carrie Chia (Chantilly HS) – Pill Smart An app that helps users track daily medication, manage prescriptions, and maintain accurate medical records. Watch here: https://t.co/u1ostDXXuf". This app aims to assist users in managing their healthcare routines effectively.

In another tweet on the same day, Connolly highlighted the first-place winner: "1st Place: Kriesh Tivare (Langley HS) – BlindSight A navigation assistant designed to support individuals who are visually impaired, enhancing their mobility and independence. Watch the demo:https://t.co/2pKe0j9hHp". This project focuses on improving mobility for those with visual impairments.

Later that day, Connolly addressed a concerning issue regarding federal employment: "The ongoing effort to encourage federal workers to quit their jobs is a scam. To our civil servants – this country needs you now. Donald Trump and Elon Musk cannot be trusted. Look at how they've treated their past employees. Please think twice before you accept their offer." He urged federal employees to reconsider any offers encouraging them to leave their positions.
