On the same day, he commented on a recent accident at DCA, urging community solidarity: "There is a lot we don't know about the tragic accident at DCA. But we do know that members of our community have been directly affected." Connolly called for unity and mutual respect during difficult times.
Later that day, Rep. Connolly expressed his concerns regarding criminal justice under former President Donald Trump's administration: "In Donald Trump's America, criminals and insurrectionists are released from prison and law enforcement officers are punished for going after them in the first place." He described these actions as tyrannical behavior.
