On January 30, 2025, Connolly addressed a tragic event affecting his region by expressing solidarity with those involved. He tweeted, "This is a tragic and very difficult morning for our region. We will be receiving more information throughout the day. As we learn more, let’s all keep the passengers, their families, and the first responders who worked through the night close to our hearts."

On January 31, 2025, Connolly discussed local community matters during a town hall meeting organized by the Mantua Citizens’ Association. He highlighted key topics such as federal worker protection and funding challenges facing Congress.
