#NOVANighthawk and The Posse Foundation scholarship winner Jim Carlisle knows it is never too late to discover what you love to do. A #veteran student at NOVA Community College, Jim decided to return to college after serving in the Air Force and working in the technology sector. Working through his own mental health struggles made him realize that he wanted to help others.

Jim will graduate from #NOVA this spring and will then pursue a bachelor's in psychology at University of Virginia, with the goal of opening a mental wellness center. He credits his professors for pushing him to be successful. "NOVA professors are awesome. They are always there for you," said Carlisle. "As long as you are trying your best, they will help guide you and tell you where you need to go."
