Corporate Social Responsibility—Panel Discussion Presented by the Community Impact Council
January 31
Community Impact Council Presents...A Panel Discussion onCorporate Social Responsibility—It’s for Companies of ALL Sizes!Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, also called corporate citizenship, companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental.
Every business —sole proprietor, Mom & Pop, small start-up, locally-owned & operated, franchise, or chain — has an impact on the community in which they operate. The question is: “What is that impact, is it a positive one, and are you consciously engaged in managing that impact?”
The Community Impact Council has put together a panel of business people to discuss:Why CSR is important to their business model, and what are the benefits.A variety of models and methods for integrating Community ImpactImpacts of a CSR effort on employee recruitment and retentionBenefits of partnering with a community nonprofit as part of your CSR strategyIntegrating CSR efforts into your marketing strategy
