Balanced Hitting Carries Patriots Over Highlanders

 The Georrge Mason women's volleyball team earned their second win of the season on Friday afternoon, defeating Radford (3-5) in four sets. 

Three Patriots tallied double-digit kills on the day as sophomore Olyvia Kennedy and senior Yanira Lopez-Barahona notched 12 and junior Katelyn Clarke added 11. 

Defensively, senior Stephanie Der led all players with 15 digs while graduate student Peyton Ehmke registered a game-high five total blocks, including four block assists. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Freshman Gabriella Gelfound was just one kill off her second career double, tallying 13 assists and nine kills, including the match point.

Sophomore Damiana Bova-Ford paced the Mason attack with a match-high 21 assists.

Lopez-Barahona's 12 kills were a season-high, and went along with two service aces and three block assists.

Ehmke registered eight kills at a season-high .467 clip.

As a team, the Green & Gold committed a season-low 19 hitting errors and tallied a season-high 14.0 kills per set.
