Back from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Northern Virginia Community College Nighthawks soccer team and head coach Thomas Connolly have announced the upcoming 2022 schedule that will kick off in August.
NOVA first opponent following the hiatus is a home game against Region 20 foe CCBC Essex on Aug. 25. The Knights are coming off a penalty kick shootout loss in the NJCAA National Championship game against Pima.
The Nighthawks then hit the road for five of their next seven with the home games against Cecil and Anne Arundel on Sept. 1 and Sept. 9 respectively. Closing out September, NOVA comes back home to host Hagerstown (Sept. 27) and Chesapeake (Sept. 30).
With the calendar flipping to October the Nighthawks continue their home slate as they welcome Catonsville, Southern Maryland and Frederick to Annandale before wrapping up at the regular season at Allegany on Oct. 16.
