City of Fairfax issued the following announcement on Jan. 25
The current issue of The Cityscene monthly newsletter has been published on the city website: click here to get your copy right now.
The City of Fairfax provides home and business delivery of the newsletter. A copy of the newsletter is mailed to all city addresses (and some Fairfax County addresses that share postal routes with the city).
Copies also are available at city municipal buildings, as well as the City of Fairfax Regional Library.
Receive a notice when it is published every month via Fairfax City Alert, the city's electronic message alert system. The city has established the category "Cityscene notification," and its subscribers receive notification when new issues of The Cityscene are posted online.
Fairfax City Alert, a free service by the City of Fairfax, provides subscribers with messages regarding dozens of topics, including trash and recycling, special events, City Council and School Board meetings, weather alerts, government closures and more. Messages are sent to the service designated by the subscriber: e-mail, telephone or other mobile device. Messages are sent only to those who subscribe to that particular category, and users manage their own accounts — giving the subscriber flexibility and control.
