Stuff the Bus to Help Those in Need: Sept. 11, Oct. 9

11

City of Fairfax issued the following announcement on Aug. 17

To help our community in need, the city is collaborating with Fairfax County for Stuff the Bus: food drives on Sept. 11 and Oct. 9 to provide nonperishable food to area nonprofits.

In the City of Fairfax, a CUE Bus will be parked from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 11 and Oct. 6 at Van Dyck Park, 3720 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax.

When delivering food at Stuff the Bus, please wear a face covering, and please follow posted health and safety guidelines. (Stay safe while doing good!)

During the Stuff the Bus events last September, the city collected 1.6 tons of food, which was distributed to area nonprofits. If you can contribute, we hope you can stop by — and perhaps help the city top that generous total.

If you don’t want to wait for the Stuff the Bus event, feel free to donate virtually; click here for information.

Stuff the Bus events will be held in additional locations on these days, including the site staffed by Volunteer Fairfax at Providence Elementary School 3616 Jermantown Rd., Fairfax).
