Fairfax City Parks and Recreation issued the following announcement on May. 28.
The City of Fairfax and the Independence Day Celebration Committee (IDCC) would like to announce that the 55th annual Independence Day Celebration Parade and Evening Show will happen this year on July 3rd and 4th. The theme "One Flag. One Hand. One Heart." was picked in the fall of 2020.
The current schedule of events for the 55th Annual Fairfax City Independence Day Celebration weekend are as follows:
• Saturday, July 3 from 10am -12noon – Parade throughout the Downtown Fairfax
• Sunday, July 4 from 6:30pm – 10:30pm – Evening Show and Fireworks at Fairfax High School
