Fort Hunt ranked eighth in Virginia for resident earnings in 2018

Fort Hunt ranked eighth among cities in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Fort Hunt residents was $85,183 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 5,867 households with a population of 16,858.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was McLean with $90,665 per year after adjusting for inflation – $5,482 more than Fort Hunt. It had 16,447 households with a population of 47,075.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Emory with $5,930 per year after adjusting for inflation – $79,253 less than Fort Hunt. It had 248 households with a population of 1,306.
