Three members of the George Mason Patriots women’s softball team were recognized with postseason honors from the Atlantic 10 Conference, according to a May 8 announcement. Senior Logan Pickford was named to both the First Team All-Conference and the A-10 All-Academic Team. Senior Tess Altevers Harris earned Second Team All-Conference honors for the second year in a row, while freshman Alyssa Hopkins was selected for the A-10 All-Rookie Team.

The recognition highlights individual achievements during the season and academic excellence within collegiate athletics. These awards are given based on performance statistics, leadership on and off the field, and contributions to their teams.

Pickford’s selection marks her first all-conference honor after starting all 51 games this season. She led her team in several categories including runs scored (40), hits (53), RBI (31), total bases (95), on-base percentage (.446), runners caught stealing (5), and stolen bases (16). Defensively, she posted a .987 fielding percentage with only two errors throughout the season. In addition to her athletic performance, Pickford was named to the A-10 All-Academic Team after earning a 3.918 GPA while majoring in kinesiology.

Altevers Harris started 49 games—36 at third base—and received Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors on February 10. She led George Mason in OPS (1.087), doubles (12), triples (3), home runs (10), slugging percentage (.650) and walks (21). Her performance placed her among conference leaders in several statistical categories.

Hopkins made an impact as a freshman by appearing in 43 games with 40 starts across multiple positions including catcher, designated player, and third base. She led her team with a .351 batting average and earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors on April 28.

The announcement reflects continued success for George Mason athletes both academically and athletically as they look ahead to future seasons.
