The Northern Virginia Community College athletic week kicks off Tuesday with a soccer game at Potomac State and concludes Saturday with a volleyball doubleheader at Anne Arundel against the Riverhawks and Butler County.

3 p.m. – Anne Arundel at Soccer
Saturday, Sept. 10
1 p.m. – Volleyball versus Butler County
3 p.m. – Volleyball at Anne Arundel
Soccer
The Nighthawks are still looking for their first win of the season and will have two chances to break into the win column.
NOVA dropped a 2-1 decision to Cecil last week, while Potomac State fell 2-1 against Harford. AACC, meanwhile, has outscored its opponents 8-1 this season and plays Chesapeake prior traveling Annandale.
Volleyball
This is the first action of the season for the Nighthawks volleyball team as they take on 4-1 Butler County and Anne Arundel, who is also playing its first matches. Butler County in five contests has 210 kill and 204 assists with its only loss coming at Penn State Greater Allegheny.
NOVA in preseason exhibition battles took on NCAA Division II and Division III, along with Region 20 foe Harford.
