All during the 2022-23 academic year, the Northern Virginia Community College athletic department is celebrating 10 seasons in the NJCAA. This week Nighthawk athletics us showcasing some of the best team moments and accomplishments.
The fourth NOVA team moment and accomplishment athletics is highlighting during the week is the cross country teams run of four straight NJCAA Region 20 championship and three trips to the NJCAA National Championship.
The Nighthawks began the streak in 2014 and concluded it in 2017, while missing a fifth title in 2018 with a second-place finish. NOVA also had nine student-athletes capture the All-Region 20 award during that four-season period.
Following three of the region championships, the Nighthawks ran at the NJCAA Championship and had their best team finish in 2016.
