George Mason University guard D'Shawn Schwartz has traversed the country this spring while preparing for a busy NBA Draft calendar beginning this month.
Schwartz has worked out for five NBA teams thus far, including the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Denver Nuggets and NBA Finals-bound Golden State Warriors. On Wednesday, Schwartz made the journey back to the DMV to work out with the Washington Wizards.
The Colorado Springs, Colo., product also competed at the prestigious pre-draft Portsmouth Invitational in April, where he proved to be one of the most versatile players on the Portsmouth Sports Club roster.
Schwartz matched up against some of the country's top seniors earlier in April at the NCAA Final Four in New Orleans. He opened the weekend with a strong performance in the Reese's All-Star Game on Friday. In that contest, he tallied 15 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes of action while leading the East team to a 115-103 victory.
Later in the weekend, Schwartz dazzled while leading his team to the 3X3U National Championship and the $50,000 grand prize. He hit the game-winning shot in the title game.
Schwartz will continue pre-NBA Draft activites until the event, which will be held June 23 in Brooklyn. The NBA Summer league commences July 7 and runs through July 17 in Las Vegas.
