FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason softball team will travel to Saint Louis for their final conference series of the regular season.

In game one of the weekend, seniors Taylor Dadig, EJ Bankson, and Amber Verstynen led the offensive momentum for the Patriots. Dadig and Bankson went 2-for-3 at the plate, each hitting two RBI's. Verstynen went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, scoring two of the nine runs. Junior Haley Taormina had two hits with three RBI's.

As the conference player of the week, Dadig went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate in the final game of the series, scoring one run and recording one RBI. A strong weekend as well for Bankson, the first baseman went 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI's.

Graduate student Cheyenne Van Pelt earned two starts and two wins over the weekend. Van Pelt pitched two complete games, notching her seventh of the season. Sophomore Carly Cooper earned the start in the win of the second game of the series. Cooper was relieved by Jordan Anderson, who earned the save in the game.
