Loss of electricity during a storm is possible. Here are some ways you can be prepared.
Before a storm:
- Visit Dominion Energy's Safety & Preparation for the company's storm preparation information.
- Establish and maintain an online account with Dominion Energy Virginia at dominionenergy.com/virginia. Make sure all information is current, and provide ample contact information.
- Download the Dominion Energy app for your mobile device for accurate and timely reporting of power outages, as well as updates on power restoration and other important information. (Dominion Energy recently upgraded their outage maps, with special focus on mobile access.)
- Text NOVA to 898-366 for Dominion Energy's Northern Virginia text alerts. (Standard message and data rates may apply.)
