On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Hayfield High School standout Emily Lampela’s current college team, the George Mason Patriots, won 12-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Niagara Purple Eagles.

The game took place at George Mason Softball Complex. This was their second matchup against the Purple Eagles this season.

The Patriots’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 9:05 a.m. at UCF Softball Complex against Georgia Southern Eagles.
