George Mason women’s tennis hosts Georgetown in first outdoor home match

The George Mason women’s tennis team will play their first outdoor home match of the season against Georgetown University on Thursday, March 5 at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Mason Tennis Complex in Fairfax, Virginia.

George Mason holds a 4-2 record so far this season and aims to recover after recent matches. Georgetown enters with a 2-6 record. Historically, Georgetown has won all seven previous meetings between the teams since 2005. Their last encounter was in 2018, when George Mason lost 2-3.

After the matchup with Georgetown, the Patriots will travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the Hilton Head Spring Tennis Fest. There, they are scheduled to face four different opponents. The tournament begins with a game against conference rivals George Washington University on Monday, March 9 at 9 a.m.
