City of Fairfax issued the following announcement on Jan. 11

DMV Select in Fairfax City Hall offers managed walk-in service. No appointments will be accepted until further notice, effective Dec. 20, 2021.

ALL CUSTOMERS must CHECK IN with Atrium staff, and remain in the Atrium until they are directed to the DMV Select Office. 

Only four customers at a time will be permitted at the DMV Select Office, the first customers at 8:30 a.m. and the final customers at 3:50 p.m.

Please note: managed walk-in access pertains only to DMV Select service. City-related services (dog licenses, tax payments, etc.) are accessible at the offices of the Treasurer and Commissioner of the Revenue from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
